First Photo of Martian Surface from InSight Lander

This is the first image received from the Mars InSight lander, which successfully touched down on the Martian surface today, November 26, 2018. What you’re seeing is the surface and the horizon of Mars, partially obscured by dust particles covering the lens.

This is an extremely exciting day for NASA and everyone involved in the InSight mission, and we can’t wait to see what gets uncovered.
